Daniel C. Lorti was born in New York City, and spent his formative years in Englewood, NJ. After high school he enlisted into the U.S. Air Force and was an auto tracking radar specialist. Upon discharge, he attended Arizona State University where, after three years, he graduated with a B.S.E. (summa cum laude) and an M.S.E.

He is a member of the Mystery Writers of America and the Historical Writers of America. Active in tennis, golf and skiing he now professes to a passion for writing, travel, and bridge while watching sports. He lives on the coast of southern California.
